The Louisville Art Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting the advancement of visual art. We encourage appreciation and knowledge of visual art by sponsoring many activities in our community. All our activities are open to the public.

Feb. 9th Bruce Gomez - Pastels  Watch as he magically makes paintings pop with his technique on using values.
Mar. 9th Francesca Morales Cook - Metal Jewelry Will show mini-torch techniques, sterling silver and steel mandrels to be used to create amazing silver rings and bangles.
Apr. 13th Michael Clark - Plein Air Painting the expressive landscape in Plein Air using bright color and bold brush work.
May 11th Rey Ford - Oil Painting Learning to paint from understanding rather than copying what you see. Understanding the use of light is key in the process.
Jun. 8th Stephanie Hartshorn - Perspectives Understanding perspective and translating that information into wonderful paintings.
July   No Meeting
Aug. 10th Colleen Tucker- Abstract Painting Techniques She works fast with a frame of reference. She goes to a place of flow or into a zone that enables her to work intuitively.
Sep. 14th Valarie Amon - Fearless Painting from Photo References She will demonstrate how to get out of the photo reference rut and how to paint from your gut.
Oct. 12th Steve O’Bryan - Photography Known for his wild animal photography

Regular Meeting Location

Monthly Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month except July, at the Louisville Art Center.  They begin at 6:30 with a networking, 7:00 a business meeting. And 7:30 our demo begins.  Please feel to join us as a guest or become a member.  Open to the public, all meetings are free.
